Personal Injury Solicitor-EL/PL/RTA-Portsmouth
Introduction.
Our client is a regional law firm with an excellent reputation for its Personal Injury work in South East Hampshire and has a vacancy for a Personal Injury Solicitor with a minimum of two years recent relevant experience of Claimant Personal Injury work in RTA/EL/PL work.
The Role.
To be responsible for your own varied caseload consisting of fast and multi rack claims ncluding RTA's, EL, OL and Industrial Injuries.
Take instructions, provide advice and representation, brief experts and counsel, attend court, tribunals, hearings etc.
Meet financial targets generating income for the firm.
To proactively communicate in writing and in person on legal matters.
Communicate with all departments cross selling the firms skills to existing clients where possible.
Undertake regular financial & file reviews with the appropriate person(s).
Manage the out of hour's helpline when required.
Record time spent fee earning and other tasks.
Train and supervise other members of the team.
Comply with Law society/ Lexcel standards/Office manual/contract of employment.
Assist and be actively involved in marketing strategies.
Keep up to date with changes in the law.
Attend department meetings.
Undertake relevant internal and external training when required.
Keep accurate hard and electronic records.
Organisation of workload, files, dictation, telephone and faxes.
Ensure your working area is tidy and that files are put away after use.
