The Role
An excellent career opportunity for a qualified accountant ACCA or ACA:-
To deliver high quality accounting services for a multi-million dollar book of fiduciary and custody clients within the Global Family & Private Investment Offices Group client book. To prepare financial statements for a portfolio of private fiduciary client entities in a timely, efficient and accurate manner adhering to the highest standards. To be involved in the review process for financial statements of entities prepared by others.
Work with management to oversee the allocation of the Global Family & Private Investment Offices Group fiduciary client book and the target dates for completion, monitor activity to ensure timely and accurate completion of work and to maximise efficiency.
Participation in large and/or complex accountancy/financial projects and provision of support to wider projects.

Principal Responsibilities

Commitment to the Client:
Understand the Clients' business, strategic goals and objectives
Manage client expectations and NT service commitments
Deal with queries in an effective and timely manner

Bookkeeping
Good understanding of bookkeeping including more complex transactions
Accruals for income and expenses
Investigation and clearance of suspense account balances
Posting of third party bank statements and investment portfolio reports, ensuring that these are received and posted on a regular basis.

Client Reporting:
Critical background knowledge of entities worked on
Preparation of financial statements for client entities including Trusts and Companies, in accordance with best practice and relevant reporting standards.
Liaison with relationship and account managers to ensure all key activity has been captured.
Liaison with auditors where appointed
Query anomalies in the financial data, escalate as appropriate and ensure notes to the accounts provide sufficient data to be understood by the reviewer.
Deal with client, auditor and/or relationship manager queries in a timely fashion
Plan workload to ensure that all financials are ready in good time to meet any regulatory or tax filing, or client advised deadline.
Advise on potential accounting issues & best practises
Checking & maintaining ledger integrity
Close down period end
Preparation of ad-hoc reporting as requested by the client or in order to demonstrate adherence to solvency requirements.
Maintain a good working knowledge of best practice and apply to the template reporting models.
Maintain record of status of financial statements for inclusion in management reporting.

Fiduciary expertise
Maintain an understanding of relevant Trust and Company Law as it effects entities within the client book, and the requirements of good corporate governance and apply to daily activity
