Job Description:


The Client: Major US international financial institution based in Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

The Appointment:
An opportunity has arisen within the area of Depository Governance requiring some 5+ years experience. Applications are invited from candidates holding either ACCA, ICSA or STEP qualification. Must have relevant experience within the financial services industry including custody, administration trustee or investment management. Also experience in oversight, outsourced functions and third party due diligence visits is very beneficial. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of communicating at Board level.

Specific responsibilities include the following
Take responsibility for and lead new business on-boarding / change management projects within the team.
" Support and provide MI reporting to the relevant Depositary governance forums.
" Co-ordinate, undertake and report upon onsite due diligence and client visits - overnight travel will be required.
" Deputise for the Head of Department when necessary.
" Act as a point of escalation within the business.
" Undertake A Signatory responsibilities.
" To work with the Guernsey Head and EMEA Product Development to ensure that all client technical advisory requirements are anticipated, responded to and validated.
" To ensure that all SLD requirements are monitored and met.
" To keep up to date with internal developments and market developments in the regulatory field.
" To ensure all Fiduciary and Depositary requirements are met and escalate any issues where appropriate.
" To monitor and report on the effectiveness of operational output from enterprise teams.
" To build a mutual trust with client and identify threats and opportunities and escalate as appropriate.
" Oversee the daily, weekly and monthly checks for depositary functions.
" Answering enquiries from Client, Board, Custodian, Fund Accountant as local Depositary.
" To keep all operational procedures in line with expected risk requirements.
