Keoghs, formerly Keogh Ritson, was formed in 1968 by merger between George Keogh & Co and Thomas Ritson & Co. We simplified our name and became Keoghs in 2000.

We opened a Coventry office in 1999 and moved into a new, purpose built building in Bolton in 2001. We currently employ around 480 staff between the two sites.

We have replaced our traditional partnership-style management structure with a corporate structure designed to carry the business forward over the coming years. We believe in clear, simple management structures and operating systems rather than the complex partnership arrangements favoured by most law firms. We are driven by a firm wide commitment to excellence and are continually investing in our people and our processes.

Our business centres around a model that we call "Excellence at Keoghs". This is based on the internationally recognised and respected Business Excellence model, which we have tailored to our own specific business needs.

Under the business excellence approach, we have developed a strong team ethos and sense of belonging. Good channels of internal communication are critical to morale of staff, and therefore the success of our business. Information is cascaded throughout the firm via regular team meetings, a Monthly Newsletter, the staff Bulletin and AGM.

Our staff forum “My Say” ensures feedback from staff can be received and taken into account. It gives them an opportunity to be involved and also find out about what is happening within the business.

At our Coventry office (employing circa 100 staff) we deal with RTA, EL (including disease) and PL personal injury claims. We also have a large and expanding special claims unit which deals with suspected fraudulent claims.

Our Coventry office is located on the Binley Business Park, five minutes drive from the M6 and M69 motorways and 10 minutes drive from the A45/M45. The offices are modern, open plan and car parking is currently available for all staff. Our catchment area for support and fee earning staff covers Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Leicester and surrounding villages, Northampton and Birmingham.
